Job Description:
Monitors and maintains adequate levels of surgical supplies and instruments. Communicates daily instrument needs with Sterile Processing staff. Picks and prepares instrumentation and supplies needed for scheduled surgical cases. Utilizes inventory management systems to track instruments and supplies. Unloads and stocks sterilized instrument sets in designated locations. Assists with the lending and borrowing of products and instruments with other institutions as needed. Ensures all instruments and supplies are properly organized and stored. Reports supply issues and provides suggestions for inventory management to the Manager. Participates in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment in the OR. Attends mandatory in-service meetings and continuing education for professional development. Provides technical support to OR staff as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Assist OR staff and co-workers in a professional and timely manner.
  • Good oral communication and interpersonal skills. [Required]
  • Computer skills
  • Critical Thinking Skills
  • Inventory knowledge [Preferred]
  • Knowledge of OR procedure types/Medical terminology
  • Ability to work in SPD and Case Cart Department
  • Knowledge of Preference Cards and OR procedure types/medical terminology
  • Knowledge of OR instrumentation and exchanges for that instrumentation
Education:
  • High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
Field of Study:
  • Education (Field of Study)
Work Experience:
  • 1+ sterile processing or OR supply experience [Required]

Pay Range:
