Eligibility for benefits may vary by location and is determined by employment status Job Summary Per Diem, Rotate SUMMARY The Certified Central Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the reprocessing of all sterile and non-sterile materials, instruments, and equipment for surgery and other hospital units. He/she is responsible for manual cleaning and decontamination; operating the mechanical washers and sonic units; testing autoclaves for efficiency and maintaining compliant records; He/she assists in the recall process as needed. As a certified technician, the technician will also assist in the eduation and training of other staff (e.g., new hires) with respect to quality assurance, performance improvement, and departmental compliance. Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Experience:
6 months minimum required as CS/SPD Tech or other relevant
License:
N/A Certification:
