Full-Time Days | Surgical Services As a Central Services Technician, you will play a critical role in patient safety by ensuring surgical instruments and reusable medical equipment are properly cleaned, disinfected, assembled, sterilized, and ready for use. In this role, you will: Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, sterilize, and distribute reusable surgical instruments and medical equipment according to established policies and procedures. Ensure all sterilization processes comply with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and industry standards. Monitor and document sterilization cycles, biological testing, and quality assurance activities. Maintain knowledge of and adhere to AORN and AAMI standards and recommended practices. Inspect instruments and equipment for cleanliness, functionality, and proper assembly before sterilization and distribution. Restock supplies and maintain adequate inventory levels for surgical and procedural areas. Assist with record keeping, tracking systems, documentation, and other clerical duties related to sterile processing operations. Support operating room efficiency by ensuring needed instruments, trays, and supplies are available when required. Participate as a collaborative member of the Surgical Services team. Demonstrate fiscal responsibility through efficient use of supplies, equipment, and resources. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Respond appropriately to operational changes, urgent requests, and emergent situations. Participate in ongoing education, competency validation, and professional development activities.
