Memorial Hospital Belleville In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring surgical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and ready for patient care. This position requires a high level of accuracy, accountability, and teamwork.

It provides patients a full complement of diagnostic and treatment services as well as heart and vascular care. Memorial, offering medical and surgical services plus critical care, is an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care and is designated as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital by the Illinois Department of Public Health. Memorial Hospital Shiloh , a 94-bed, all-private suite hospital was recognized with Magnet status in 2018 and provides emergency care, labor & delivery, nursery, medical and surgical services plus critical care. Services provided by Central Processing Services (CPS) include decontamination, prep and assembly, pasteurization, sterilization, patient care equipment control, and stocking and distribution of a variety of procedure carts and totes. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Function as a team member in the operating room to support medical and nursing staff during the pre, intra, and post-operative phase, including preparing equipment and supplies for use by the medical team, cleaning and sterilizing equipment and reusable supplies, assembling case carts/trays and performing direct patient care as needed. Responsibilities Assembles and processes instruments sets, trays, supplies and linen; prioritizes trays and tasks according to the surgery schedule. Utilizes and troubleshoots steam sterilizers. Follows proper techniques and procedures to ensure the integrity of the sterilization process. Disassembles, decontaminates, and processes instrumentation according to manufacturer and industry standards. Transports patients with any necessary materials and documents to treat or diagnose. Minimum Requirements Education High School Diploma or GED Experience
