Career Interest:
Under the direction of the Director of Perioperative Services, the Sterile Processing Manager has responsibility to manage the Sterile Processing program and ensure that instrumentation for the Operating Rooms and other ancillary areas are processed, stored, and delivered in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions Facilitates effective communication in the Sterile Processing department articulating the status of team vision/goals as well as how the department fits into the division's strategic plan and business operations service model Responsible for a business operations specific performance management system for Sterile Processing Department efficiency, quality, customer satisfaction and productivity- manages the quality system by facilitating team work with staff and other department resources Identifies customer reported issues with products and determines action plans, educational/coaching, and process improvement opportunities to achieve and maintain high customer satisfaction Incorporates training and evaluation of orientation, competency, daily performance and formal coaching.
- Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) within 1 Year Certified Healthcare Leader (CHL)
- Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) within 1 Year Preferred Licensure and Certification Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER)
- Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS)
- Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) Knowledge Requirements Intermediate Microsoft Office skills Preferred knowledge of instrument tracking system
