  • We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Tech II to join our healthcare team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the decontamination, sterilization, and preparation of surgical instruments and equipment to ensure patient safety and compliance with healthcare standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in sterile processing procedures and a strong commitment to maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform cleaning, decontamination, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage. Assemble surgical instrument trays and sets according to established protocols. Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance. Adhere to infection control policies and safety standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely availability of sterile supplies.
  • Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Sterile Processing Technician or similar role preferred.
Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Certification in sterile processing (preferred but not required). Join our team and contribute to delivering exceptional patient care through meticulous sterile processing practices. Work Experience III. Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. 6 months or more years of CSP experience. Must be certified CRCST or CBSPDT. If assigned to reprocessing flexible endoscopes, must obtain certification in scope reprocessing within 12 months of assumption of those duties. IV. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Basic knowledge of the use of a PC and computerized database system preferred or demonstrated ability to learn within one year. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary in order to work with various clinical personnel, resolve problems and to properly identify and label supplies for inventory purposes. V. Patient Safety Ensures patient safety in the performance of job functions and through participation in hospital, department or unit patient safety initiatives. Takes action to correct observed risks to patient safety Reports adverse events and near misses to appropriate management authority. Identifies possible risks in processes, procedures, devices and communicates the same to those in charge.
