We are seeking a certified sterile processing technician for immediate placement in our Vascular Access Center located in Washington DC. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience and must be a Certified Registered Sterile Processing Technician The sterile processing technician will inspect and prepare endoscopes for reprocessing, operate a medivator, store scopes in drying cabinet, and maintain scope reprocessing program. This is a challenging, fast-pace job with Monday to Friday schedule, NO nights and weekend shifts. Access Center hours Monday ? Friday, 7 am to 4 pm. Responsibilities and Duties :

Works in GI reprocessing rooms using proper PPE Demonstrates knowledge of endoscope reprocessing policies and procedures Ensures proper preventive maintenance is performed on all equipment used Operate scope washers and other relevant equipment Monitor biological and chemical wash solution to ensure quality and consistency for decontamination of endoscopes Maintain manufacture?s guidelines for equipment and endoscopes Assure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practice guidelines Maintain inventory and endoscope reprocessing program Other job duties as required

Experience:
