Job Description

Category Nursing - Sterile Processing Tech Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding opportunity supporting quality patient care as a Sterile Processing Technician. This role is key to ensuring the safety and efficiency of surgical and clinical operations, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and instrument integrity. Openings are available for the following shifts: 1st Shift 2nd Shift 3rd
Shift Responsibilities:
Receive, decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment following stringent protocols. Inspect and test sterilized items for functionality and integrity. Maintain accurate records for tracking sterilization processes and inventory. Collaborate with surgical, nursing, and medical staff to anticipate instrument and equipment needs. Adhere strictly to infection control standards and institutional policies. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of sterilization equipment. Assist with restocking, organizing, and distributing sterile supplies throughout the facility.
Desired Qualifications:
Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CRT or equivalent). Demonstrated knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control, and safety procedures. Experience with steam and low temperature sterilization equipment preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise protocols. Excellent communication skills and ability to work efficiently in both independent and team environments. Prior experience in a hospital setting or large medical facility strongly encouraged.
