Job Description

Category Nursing - Sterile Processing Tech Job Type Contract A leading healthcare setting seeks a skilled professional experienced in sterile processing to help ensure the highest standards of patient safety and surgical support. In this vital role, you will support the operating room and other patient care areas by managing, maintaining, and sterilizing surgical instruments and supplies. Those with a strong background in sterile technique, attention to detail, and certification are encouraged to apply.
Key Qualifications:
Certificate in Sterile Processing Technology required Current certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST or equivalent) Experience in central sterile supply or related sterile processing environments Familiarity with decontamination, sterilization, and instrument assembly procedures Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare settings Strong organizational skills and a commitment to infection prevention protocols
Responsibilities:
Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment according to best practices and regulatory standards Ensure proper functioning and routine maintenance of sterilization equipment Assemble surgical instrument trays and carts for scheduled and emergency procedures Perform thorough inspection and testing of processed items for quality assurance Maintain accurate inventory records and manage supply levels Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure timely availability of sterile supplies and respond promptly to urgent requests Adhere strictly to established safety, infection control, and hospital procedures
