Category Nursing - Sterile Processing Tech Job Type Contract Play an essential role in maintaining patient safety and supporting surgical procedures as a skilled Sterile Processing Technician. This contract assignment offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic healthcare environment, ensuring instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and prepared for use.
Qualifications & Experience:
Certified Sterile Processing Technician credential required Proven experience in sterile processing within a hospital or clinical setting In-depth knowledge of infection control and sterilization standards Familiarity with decontamination, assembly, and distribution of surgical instruments Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail Ability to collaborate effectively with nursing and surgical staff
Schedule:
Contract position with full-time hours
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment following established protocols Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, ensuring accurate record-keeping of cycles and maintenance Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed to support the department's needs Uphold strict adherence to infection prevention and hospital safety policies Provide prompt, effective communication and support to clinical teams Assist with department audits and ensure all documentation meets regulatory standards This position provides you with the ability to advance your expertise in sterile processing, work alongside highly skilled professionals, and contribute directly to patient care and surgical outcomes.
