Shift times may vary based on surgical schedule, departmental needs, staffing coverage, vacations, and call-ins. Candidate must be flexible with scheduling and able to support later shift coverage as needed. Typical shift hours may range between: 10:00am-6:30pm 12:00pm-8:30pm 1:00pm-9:30pm Occasional coverage until 10:00pm may be required Ability to adapt to a fast-paced surgical environment and maintain dependable attendance and schedule flexibility to support department operations. Job Summary:
Our organized, meticulous and safety-focused Sterile Processing Technician for our Surgical team to help demonstrate patient care second to none! The Sterile Processing Technician focuses on the proper care and maintenance for all surgical instrumentation, decontamination processes, equipment usage and sterilization processes. The Sterile Processing Technician role is an integral part of the surgical team with an emphasis on infection control. Duties:
Adheres to the strict use of standard precautions and the use of personal protective equipment Demonstrates knowledge of equipment, instruments, procedures and supplies used in the operating room Serves as a resource person for sterilization, decontamination, case preparation and surgical instrumentation Demonstrates knowledge of principles and practices of aseptic technique Ability to succeed in situations under pressure while maintaining patience, tact and endurance Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Demonstrates eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S. High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
