Monday•Friday; 11am to 7:30pm

Base Pay Range:
$17.92 (entry level qualifications) to $28.27 (highly experienced) per hour, based on experience.
Special Pay:
Additional $2.50 per hour until June 27, 2026
Shift Differentials:
Additional $2.00 for evening shift

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION
Disassemble, clean, assemble, and test instrumentation for proper functioning. Employees in a lead capacity Assist with teaching of new hires and work as resource person for other staff as well as other units in hospital. Perform and participate in the decontamination, inspection, cleaning, assembling, and packaging of medical/surgical materials including instruments and equipment according to established standards and procedures to ensure a sterile and functioning supply of materials. Prepare trays and specialty carts for designated areas according to prescribed procedures. Wrap and/or package items for specified areas according to procedures prescribed for those designated areas. Operate instrument tracking systems. Use knowledge of different types of sterilization materials and equipment to choose the appropriate material for sterilization processes. Assist in the maintenance of supply and materials inventory to include documenting usage, issuing, receiving, and recording as assigned. May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
One (1) year of experience as a sterile processing tech or surgical tech.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited program for surgical technology or completion of a program for sterile processing; or equivalent training from a military or hospital-based program. Experience as a Sterile Processing Tech. Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
