$52,000 - $90,000 annually (based on experience) Sign-on bonus available on a case-by-case basis Relocation assistance starting at $5,000
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Manager to support and oversee daily operations within a high-volume Sterile Processing Department. This leadership role is responsible for maintaining quality sterile processing services, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting staff development, and optimizing departmental workflow across multiple surgical and procedural service lines. This opportunity is based within a large acute care and regional referral healthcare facility supporting both inpatient and outpatient procedural areas.
Responsibilities:
Assist in overseeing daily operations of the Sterile Processing Department Support staffing coordination, onboarding, orientation, training, and continuing education initiatives Ensure compliance with infection prevention standards, sterile processing regulations, and quality control measures Supervise and support sterile processing staff and department team leads Collaborate with surgical and procedural departments to improve operational efficiency and workflow Maintain high standards for sterilization processes, instrumentation handling, and equipment management Promote patient safety, quality improvement, and departmental excellence initiatives Assist with department resource planning, productivity management, and process optimization Monitor adherence to departmental policies, procedures, and industry best practices Support problem-solving efforts in fast-paced, high-pressure clinical environments
Department Overview:
Supports multiple procedural and surgical service lines including: Endoscopy Operating Room (OR) Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Labor & Delivery Supports both inpatient and outpatient ambulatory procedural areas Utilizes a sterile processing workflow management system Large department structure with multiple team leads and clinical support staff
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
Completion of a two-year Surgical Technology program
OR CRCST/CSPDT
certification required Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
Certifications:
Active CSPDT or
IAHCSMM/HSPA
certification required
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of Sterile Processing experience required Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience required Surgery center leadership experience will also be considered
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills Knowledge of operating room instrumentation and sterile processing equipment Strong understanding of aseptic technique and infection prevention practices Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and high-pressure healthcare environments Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Computer proficiency required
