Directs others in the absence of the department director.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED At least 1 year of relevant experience CRCST Certification or Certified Surgical Technologist Strong communication skills and customer service skills 57 years of experience as a CSS tech II or equivalent preferred Organized with attention to detail Selfmotivated Working knowledge of computers Rarely lifts up to 50 lbs Routinely lifts/carries up to 28 lbs Routinely pushes/pulls equipment with up to 25 lbs of forceResponsibilities:
1. Performs all CSS duties as described in the CSS Tech II job profile, including 12 annual continuing education hours 2. Coordinates employee training and orientation, arranges for and oversees preceptors of new employees. Scheduling of inservices to provide mandatory education for staff. Documents attendance of staff and assures completion of training. Oversees completion of staff annual competencies. 3. Communicates with Outpatient Surgical Center to provide adequate coverage. 4. Provides direct leadership of all CSS operations in the absence of the manager. 5. Provides input into staff evaluations and the reward for results program. 6. Assists with the quality management program, Lean Daily Management activities, reporting and statistics for the purpose of improving quality and financial analysis. Proficient in the Instrument Tracking Software. Trains new employees, troubleshoots issues with the vendor. 7. Maintains the software dictionaries and produces reports from the software. 8. Assists with supply management including ordering of daily supplies from the storeroom, periodic supplies from external vendors, instrument and scope replacement/repair as necessary. 9. Assists in interviewing, hiring and onboarding of new staff members with the department director. 10. Other duties as assignedLocation:
