When appropriate, our standard differentials are 10% for the evening shift, 20% for the night shift, and 15% for weekends. Supervises key areas of cleaning, decontamination, instrument assembly, sterilization, and case cart assembly. Responsibilities
  • Ensures the effective day-to-day operations of the Central Sterile Reprocessing (CSR) department, making staffing and work load adjustments.
  • Converts strategic objectives into tactical operations, work systems, and processes which deliver value to customers
  • Creates clear responsibilities for assigned team members.
  • Manages and develops assigned staff through human resource planning, hiring, training, supervising, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Documents, stabilizes, and controls all core operating processes required to effectively manage assigned team members. Collaborates with internal customer teams to ensure core processes meet their needs.
  • Improves all core operating processes to deliver required value to all customers while reducing waste and lowering cost. Create corrective action routines based on agreed standardized problem solving methodologies that address processes that fall out of process control.
  • Serves as department resource to assist and train staff by acquiring and maintaining subject matter expertise in all aspects of CSR operations.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned. Qualifications
  • High school graduate with three (3) years of supervisory experience in CSR required.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • Certified CSR Technician through The Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution, Inc. (CBSPD) required.
  • Excellent verbal, written, supervisory, communication skills required.
  • High level of computer proficiency required. Required Licensure/Certifications
  • CBSPD certification or equivalent at hire: Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist (CSIS) or Certified Sterile Processing Manager (CSPM) or Certified Ambulatory Surgery Sterile Processing Technician (CASSPT) or Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) or Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) or Certified Healthcare Leader (CHL)•
