Job Description
Start Date:
6/1/2026 Shift Wed-Sat 1p-11:30p We are seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Processing Tech to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning, decontaminating, sterilizing, and storing medical instruments and equipment used in patient care. They will ensure that all equipment is maintained and ready for use by healthcare professionals in delivering quality healthcare services. The ideal candidate must possess excellent organizational and communication skills to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role requires 100% TRAVEL.Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain sterilization equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and facility policies. Clean, decontaminate, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment using appropriate cleaning agents and techniques. Inspect equipment for damage or wear and report any defects to the supervisor. Sort and wrap supplies according to protocols for sterilization using proper technique and materials. Ensure all sterile supplies are labeled and dated for use, and verify that all sterilization parameters have been met. Participate in infection control programs by ensuring proper handling and storage of sterile medical supplies. Maintain accurate records of sterilization loads and quality control testing results. Follow all safety procedures to prevent exposure to potentially infectious materials. Uphold departmental standards and comply with all state and federal regulations.Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Possess certification(s) from a nationally recognized credentialing agency for Central Service or Sterile Processing. Minimum of one year of related work experience. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Must have strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and twist frequently.Working Conditions:
Work may take place in a healthcare facility with exposure to infectious agents. May require working early mornings, evenings, and weekends. May require overtime and on-call work.Job Summary:
