Job Description

Category Nursing - Sterile Processing Tech Job Type Contract A skilled Sterile Processing Technician is sought to support critical medical services on a 13-week contract assignment. This role focuses on providing safe and effective processing of surgical instruments and medical equipment within a busy healthcare environment.
Schedule/Hours:
Assignment duration: 13 weeks
Key Qualifications:
Completion of a recognized Sterile Processing program or equivalent experience Current certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CBSPD, CRCST, or similar) Working knowledge of common sterilization techniques, equipment, and medical terminologies Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to infection control protocols Effective communication skills to coordinate with nursing and surgical staff Previous experience working in a hospital or similar clinical setting is preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
Decontaminate, assemble, package, and sterilize reusable instruments and medical devices Inspect equipment and trays for cleanliness, proper function, and required inventory levels Maintain complete records of sterilization and decontamination processes in accordance with regulatory and facility requirements Follow strict protocols for handling hazardous materials and infectious waste Respond promptly to emergency sterilization needs or requests from surgical and patient care departments Ensure sterilization equipment is maintained and report issues for repair as needed This opportunity is ideal for dedicated sterile processing professionals seeking to contribute expertise in a fast-paced environment dedicated to patient safety and quality care.
