This opportunity is tailored for an experienced or certified Sterile Processing Technician looking to contribute in a dynamic clinical environment. The position is a 13-week contract, providing the chance to showcase your specialized skills alongside a dedicated medical team.
Qualifications:
Sterile Processing Technician Certification (CRCST or CBSPD) highly preferred Demonstrated experience in a healthcare sterile processing environment Extensive knowledge of surgical instrumentation and equipment decontamination procedures Competency with sterilization technologies, including autoclaves, washers, and chemical sterilants Strong attention to detail and adherence to standards for aseptic technique Effective communicator and collaborative team member Active Nursing - Sterile Processing Tech credentials, if applicable
Responsibilities:
Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, wrap, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays Ensure accurate tracking and inventory control of all instruments and equipment Monitor, test, and document sterilization parameters according to regulatory and hospital standards Safely transport sterile supplies to operating rooms and clinical departments Maintain a clean, organized workspace and comply with infection control protocols Promptly report any discrepancies with instruments or equipment to supervisory staff Support continuous improvement initiatives in sterile processing and department efficiency Experience the professional satisfaction of supporting frontline surgical services in an environment that values your commitment to excellence.
