Job Description

Looking for a positive, upbeat, dependable person to join our team at New Albany Surgery Center. We are a very fast-paced, orthopedic center, that maintains high standards.
Description Position Summary/Essential Duties:
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for receiving, sorting, decontaminating, reassembling, packaging, sterilizing, storing and distributing reusable patient care equipment, instrument trays and supplies.
Specific job duties include:
1. Performs decontamination procedure 2. Prepares reusable patient care items for sterilization 3. Sterilization using appropriate sterilization methods 4. Picks surgical case carts, stores and distribute reusable patient care equipment, instrument trays and supplies 5. Participates as a productive member of the surgical team Hours are
M-F 8AM - 4
30PM.
Qualifications Experience & Knowledge:
Previous hospital or ambulatory surgery center sterile processing experience. Basic medical terminology preferred.
Special Skills & Equipment Knowledge:
Knowledge of:
Equipment, sterilizers, washers, instruments and tray assembly.
Special Skills:
Good manual dexterity, attention to details.
Education/Expertise:
High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of a Sterile Processing program preferred.
