You will be responsible for the following:- Greet and engage patients with respect and a smile.
- Responsible for decontamination and cleaning of all equipment and instruments; ensures cleanliness and sterility of all instruments.
- Accurately assembles instruments sets based on established count sheets; effectively uses materials and supplies while minimizing waste.
- Appropriately prepares and packages single instrument items, differentiating items requiring steam versus gas sterilization.
- Stores, delivers, and manages sterile supplies using aseptic technique.
- Evaluates functioning of equipment; reports malfunction follows through to ensure appropriate repairs are complete and
- maintenance performed preventing future damage.
- Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all clinical areas between patients.
- Stocking and Re-stocking treatment rooms and open bay area with all necessary dental supplies.
- Help maintain the Daily/Weekly/Monthly Dental Assistant Checklist
- Help maintain and document maintenance on all dental equipment.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and patient-centric working environment.
- Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g, OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, Employee Handbook). You will be required to possess the following:
- One (1) or more years of practical experience as a dental sterilization technician (Preferred).
- Physical ability of transporting supplies and equipment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Prioritize multiple demands and requests to maintain patient flow.
- Ability to work within a team environment and lend support, as a team player, to team members as needed.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the desire for professional growth.
- Be organized and possess a superior knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology (Preferred).
