Job Description

Job Summary:
Responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, processing, distribution, storage and sterilization of surgical instrumentation both in the Operating Room and the Central Processing area.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Decontamination, clean, inspect and assemble surgical instrumentation for the Operating Room and the entire hospital to include offices off campus. Operate prevacuum steam sterilizers, ethylene oxide sterilizer, washer sterilizers and decontaminators. Testing sterilizers and maintaining accurate records. Maintain a constant supply of reusable sterile linen. Decontaminate and process durable patient care equipment. Maintain and distribute sterile supplies. Greet/receive customers, answer phone.
Requirements:
High School Diploma One year experience as a Sterilization Technician Proficient in both areas of Central Sterile.
