Full-Time | On-Site Position Overview Prosperitus Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Sterile Processing Technician to support surgical services at William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC) and its affiliated clinics at Fort Bliss, Texas. This mission-critical role ensures surgical instruments and supplies are properly cleaned, sterilized, and prepared to support safe, high-quality patient care. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment and are committed to supporting the military community. Key Responsibilities Attend required training sessions during scheduled work hours Perform decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and trays Ensure sterilization processes comply with manufacturer instructions and established industry standards Prepare and organize case carts to support daily surgical schedules Adhere to CDC guidelines, universal precautions, and Joint Commission standards Maintain a clean, organized workspace in compliance with infection control and safety protocols Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and completeness; report discrepancies as needed Report equipment malfunctions and supply shortages to supervisory staff Utilize hospital computer systems and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) Review surgical schedules to ensure instruments and supplies are prepared and available on time Schedule & Work Environment Full-time, on-site position Mission-essential role requiring reliability and punctuality Employees may be required to report during inclement weather unless otherwise directed Training is provided and considered part of the workday Rotating shifts required (subject to change every three months) Required Qualifications Minimum of two (2) years of sterile processing experience within the past five (5) years in a medical facility Hands-on experience assembling surgical trays and sterilizing instruments Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association) Ability to pass a criminal background check Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Strong attention to detail and adherence to established procedures Effective verbal and written communication skills in English Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team Preferred Qualifications CBSPD or CRCST certification Prior military sterile processing or surgical technician experience Additional Requirements U.S. citizenship or eligibility in accordance with AR 25-2 No felony convictions Ability to provide required health and immunization documentation Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications Willingness to learn and utilize systems such as CHCS, AHLTA, ADS, and DMHRSi Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance Employer-paid life insurance Paid time off and paid sick leave Why Join Us?
