Your expertise will support patient care by meticulously sterilizing, inspecting, and managing sterile supplies in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality healthcare delivery through precise processing and inventory management of critical medical tools. Duties Receive, inspect, and decontaminate used surgical instruments and medical devices following strict aseptic techniques. Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, sterilizers, and washer-disinfectors to ensure all tools meet sterilization standards. Maintain accurate inventory records of sterile supplies, ensuring proper stock levels and timely reordering. Prepare sterile packs and trays for surgical procedures, adhering to established protocols for cleanliness and safety. Conduct routine quality checks on processed instruments for functionality, cleanliness, and integrity. Document all processing activities thoroughly, including sterilization cycles, inspections, and inventory movements. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure all necessary sterile supplies are available and ready for procedures. Experience Prior experience in sterile processing or central supply environments is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to understand the use and handling of various surgical instruments. Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to surgical procedures and instrument identification. Familiarity with inventory management systems for tracking supplies efficiently. Demonstrated understanding of aseptic techniques and sterile processing standards to prevent contamination. Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining high attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills combined with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
