Guaranteed Hours:
40 hours/week Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) for a 13‑week travel assignment in Olympia, WA. The SPT will be responsible for decontamination, sterilization, assembly, and distribution of surgical instruments and supplies in a short‑term acute care facility. Candidates must demonstrate strong sterile processing skills, proficiency with EMR systems, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced hospital environment. Requirements Minimum 2+ years of recent Sterile Processing Tech experience Proficiency with EMR systems Experience in short‑term acute care facilities preferred Certifications & Licenses Active Sterile Processing Tech certification Active Washington state license for Sterile Processing Tech Current BLS certification (AHA required) Responsibilities Decontaminate, sterilize, and assemble surgical instruments and trays Operate sterilization equipment and maintain compliance with infection control standards Inspect instruments for functionality and cleanliness Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure timely delivery of sterile supplies Document processes accurately in EMR systems Support surgical services in a trauma‑level acute care environment Work Environment Short‑term acute care hospital setting Requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to work under pressure Team‑oriented environment with interdisciplinary collaboration
