The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, team-oriented, and committed to providing an outstanding patient experience. Position Overview This role supports our surgeon in a variety of oral surgery procedures, including:
- Surgical extractions
- Wisdom tooth extractions
- Dental implant placement
- Bone grafting procedures
- Full-arch implant cases
- IV sedation cases
Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeon during oral surgery procedures
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and operatories
- Monitor and support patient flow throughout the day
- Take diagnostic radiographs and CBCT scans
- Assist with IV sedation setup, preparation, & placement
- Assist with patient eval/prep, anesthetic drugs, monitoring vital signs, & recognizing/managing medical emergencies
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient instructions
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols
Qualifications Required:
Oral Surgery assisting experience (experience must be in an oral surgery setting) CPR/BLS Certification X-ray Certification Experience with CBCT imaging Strong communication and patient care skills
Highly Preferred:
Implant surgery experience IV Sedation Certification OMAAP Certification DAANCE Certification ACLS Certification PALS Certification Why Join Our Team? Our Schedule:
