Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Surgical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will support surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures, ensuring a smooth, safe, and efficient operation. Your expertise in dental, combined with your knowledge of infection control and aseptic techniques, will contribute to delivering exceptional patient care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills directly impact patient outcomes and overall clinic success. Willing to train. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilization procedures to ensure readiness for surgical procedures. Assist surgeons during dental surgeries by handing instruments, managing suction, and maintaining a clear operative field. Maintain strict infection control protocols by adhering to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques to protect patient safety. Operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners to obtain high-quality images for diagnosis and treatment planning. Support chairside assisting with Periodontal / Endodontic dentistry cases, ensuring comfort and safety for patients. Manage dental records efficiently while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards for confidentiality and security. Collaborate with dental receptionists to coordinate patient scheduling, verify insurance information, and facilitate smooth patient flow. Demonstrate proficiency in dental terminology, and understanding of anatomy to assist in complex procedures such as Periodontics or Endodontics. Assist with Periodontal / Endodontic dentistry procedures by maintaining a sterile environment and providing assistance during various treatments. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or Surgical Assistant within a dental or medical clinic setting. Strong knowledge of EMR systems such as Dentrix, Epic, TDO, or Eaglesoft for documentation and record keeping. Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners effectively. Knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy relevant to dental surgery procedures. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals. Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support, X-Ray and OSHA required Join our team where your skills will make a meaningful difference! Pay:
$23.00 - $30.73 per hour
