This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who is confident assisting in both medical dermatology and surgical settings while also supporting cosmetic services. This role requires someone who can independently support providers, manage patient flow, and maintain high clinical standards in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities Room and prepare patients for medical, surgical, and aesthetic appointments Obtain and document vitals, medical history, and chief complaints Assist providers during biopsies, excisions, and Mohs surgery Assist with surgical setups, sterile field preparation, and post-op care Assist with cosmetic procedures (Botox, fillers, lasers, RF, microneedling, IPL, etc.) Prepare and turn over treatment and surgical rooms according to protocol Take standardized before/after clinical photography Accurately document in EMR and assist with surgical documentation Provide detailed patient education and post-procedure instructions Support inventory management and surgical/aesthetic supply stocking Maintain infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA compliance Coordinate closely with providers, histology (if applicable), and front desk to ensure smooth patient flow Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of Dermatology Medical Assistant experience (required) Surgical experience required (Mohs, excisions, or dermatologic surgery) Medical Assistant certification preferred Experience assisting with cosmetic dermatology treatments strongly preferred Strong EMR proficiency Excellent attention to detail and organization Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced clinical environment Professional, patient-focused demeanor Strong communication and teamwork skills Preferred Skills (Strong Plus) Mohs surgery experience Prior dermatology office experience in a high-volume setting Experience with lasers and energy-based aesthetic devices Cosmetic injectable support (Botox, dermal fillers, PRP/biologics, etc.) Suture removal, wound care, and post-operative patient management What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Advanced clinical training and growth opportunities Complimentary and discounted aesthetic treatments Supportive, professional team culture Opportunity to work with advanced dermatology and aesthetic technology Potential for advancement within surgical and aesthetics tracks Schedule Full-Time | 8am-6pm Monday-Friday | 9am-2pm
