Oral Surgery Assistant Capital Oral Surgery Sacramento, CA Job Details Full-time $25 - $38 an hour 4 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Chairside assisting Computer operation CPR Certification Private practice experience Medical scheduling Dental x-ray Perioperative care Typing Full Job Description Experienced Oral Surgery Assistant needed for our private, not corporate, two doctor Oral Surgery office.
ONE YEAR OF BACK OFFICE DENTAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
Monday - Friday, 30-40hours/week. This position may be physically demanding. It involves standing and leaning for extended periods of time, assisting patients into recovery area after general anesthesia and occasional lifting. You must be a team player who works quickly and efficiently with attention to detail. Duties include, but not limited to: Disinfecting and sterilizing instruments; Knowledge of OSHA requirements; Greeting and seating patients in a friendly, positive manner; Preparing room for surgery, setting up various instrument trays and break down of rooms; Understanding medications used; Obtaining vitals and review of health history of the patient; Instructing patients and caregivers with pre- and post-operative instructions; Ability to multi-task calmly under stressful situations; Able to assist surgeon in management of medical and dental emergencies; Cleaning and stocking rooms weekly; Cleaning autoclave; Work as back up to front office as needed; Inputting patient information; Answering phones; Scheduling patient appointments; Scanning documents and x-rays into the system; Answering pre-and post-operative questions from patients. •Applicants MUST have: Current X-ray license; Current CPR license; Working knowledge of computers with keyboarding skills.
Other:
Oral Surgery experience is a plus.- OMSA certificate is a plus.- OMSVision is a plus.
