Our office focuses on procedures such as dental implants, wisdom teeth removal, bone grafting, and IV sedation. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate is confident in assisting with complex procedures, comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical setting, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the oral surgeon during surgical procedures, including:
  • Wisdom teeth extractions
  • Dental implant placement
  • Bone grafting and sinus lifts
  • Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments
  • Set up and break down surgical operatories efficiently
  • Monitor patients during procedures, including vital signs (BP, pulse, oxygen saturation)
  • Assist with IV sedation procedures
  • Provide clear pre-operative and post-operative instructions to patients and caregivers
  • Take and process radiographs (CBCT experience preferred)
  • Maintain accurate and detailed clinical notes and charting
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols Qualifications
  • Minimum 1-2 years of dental assisting experience (oral surgery experience strongly preferred)
  • Current Dental Assisting certification (RDA/CDA as required by state)
  • Current CPR/BLS certification (ACLS a plus)
  • Experience with IV sedation monitoring preferred
  • Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile techniques
  • Excellent communication and patient management skills
  • Ability to stay calm and focused in a surgical environment What We Offer
