Job Description
Responsibilities Act as a surgical first assistant during various operative procedures, including open, robotic, and minimally invasive surgeries Assist surgeons with tissue retraction, suturing, hemostasis, and other intraoperative tasks using aseptic techniques Support perioperative care by preparing operating rooms, ensuring sterile environments, and managing surgical instruments and supplies Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement discharge planning strategies that optimize patient recovery Requirements Valid CA RN license 1+ years of proven experience as a surgical first assistant. 2+ years preferred Demonstrated proficiency with Epic EMR systems Ability to perform open surgical technique assistance and participate in robotic surgical procedures Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
