In this role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance during a variety of dental and surgical procedures, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and optimal clinical outcomes. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will contribute to delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting patients through their dental journey while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and professionalism. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments and supplies, adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Assist the dentist during surgical procedures such as extractions, implants, bone grafting, fillings, and periodontal surgeries by providing necessary instruments and support. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging equipment like 3D scanners and ensure accurate medical documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Monitor vital signs and patient comfort levels throughout procedures, ensuring safety standards are met at all times. Manage medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of patient information. Educate patients on post-operative care instructions, including medication usage and oral hygiene practices. Collaborate with the dental team including receptionists and hygienists to streamline patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations. Qualifications At least 2 years of experience as a surgical dental assistant Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with a focus on surgical procedures in a busy dental clinic setting. Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and dental assisting techniques such as chairside assisting and aseptic technique. Familiarity with Dentrix, Triana, Dexis, or other medical documentation platforms. Knowledge of infection control standards, anatomy, dental imaging techniques, including X-ray procedures, and 3D scanner operation. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages while demonstrating professionalism and empathy.
