Job DescriptionJob Description Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical Lead Assistant Full-Time Position We are seeking an experienced Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical Lead Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for a highly organized, motivated dental professional who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and enjoys leading a clinical team while delivering excellent patient care. Job Responsibilities / Duties Assist the oral surgeon during surgical procedures including extractions, implants, bone grafting, and other oral surgery proceduresPrepare and maintain surgical operatories for procedures and ensure proper sterilization protocolsTake and process dental radiographs and CBCT scans as neededMonitor and assist with patient sedation and recovery in accordance with office protocols and state regulationsProvide pre-operative and post-operative patient education and instructionsMaintain accurate patient records and charting within the practice management systemManage surgical instruments, equipment, and inventory for the surgical suiteEnsure strict adherence to OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standardsOversee and coordinate daily clinical flow for surgical proceduresTrain, mentor, and support dental assistants and clinical staffCommunicate effectively with the surgeon, team members, and referring officesAssist with ordering supplies and maintaining surgical equipment AI Translation Assistant Opens in new window
