In this vital role, you will assist in our Outpatient surgery center with room set up and turn over & serve as a supporter of patient care, ensuring smooth clinical operations across our outpatient setting. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional patient experiences while supporting physicians and the healthcare team. Professionalism in a variety of clinical and administrative tasks. This position is Part-Time/Per-Diem (with the possibility of a set day/hours schedule) If you thrive in a fast-paced settings and are passionate about making a difference in patient health, this is the role for you! Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with patient Pre, Intra and post care. Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision. Prepare patients for examinations by prepping groin, assisting nursing staff with I.V, foley insertion and explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort throughout their stay. Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, including, cleaning of the procedure room & PACU area between cases and serving as a procedure room circulator. Assist nursing staff with monitoring patient vital signs and responding promptly to urgent needs or emergencies, including basic life support (BLS) procedures when required. Manage medical supply inventory, restock exam rooms, unbox deliveries and ensure all equipment is clean and functioning properly. Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and guiding patients through their care journey. Assist with X-ray procedures or other diagnostic tests under MD, RN or Technologists supervision. Support administrative tasks such as maintaining accurate medical chart records and EMR competency. Experience Candidates should possess prior experience working as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare environment such as an outpatient clinic or hospital. Experience with hospital medicine, urgent care settings, or medical-surgical floors is highly valued! Familiarity with EHR systems is essential for efficient documentation; knowledge of medical terminology enhances your ability to support clinical workflows effectively. Previous exposure to OR (Operating Room) protocols is a PLUS and further strengthens your candidacy! Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to ensure readiness for emergency situations.
