May, in accordance with state laws, help surgeons to make incisions and close surgical sites, manipulate or remove tissues, implant surgical devices or drains, suction the surgical site, place catheters, clamp or cauterize vessels or tissue, and apply dressings to surgical site.

Overview Floating to all
Locations:
St. Augustine, Palm Coast and Nocatee Under the supervision of the Healthcare Leadership directs, coordinates and facilitates the surgical scheduling activities of all clinic physicians. Utilizes appropriate administrative, financial and operational policies and procedures to facilitate continuity of care for the surgical patient. Acts as liaison between the department and other surgical and financial areas.

All Age Groups.
Required Education:
High School Diploma or GEDPreferred Education:
Medical Terminology CourseNecessary Skills:
1. Demonstrated knowledge of specialty surgical procedures with associated acuity levels and specialized equipment, ancillary services and staffing needs.
Required Experience:
1 year of experience scheduling in a healthcare environment required.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in electronic surgical scheduling program a plus.
Required Licensure/Certifications:
CPC (Certified Procedural Coder) certification required within 12 months of hire or transfer.
Preferred Licensure/Certifications:
