Great opportunity to join a boutique plastic surgery practice in Sandy Springs focused on patient experience and elevated hospitality! Seeking an experienced Surgical First Assistant/Medical Assistant to join our growing team. This hybrid role is perfect for someone looking for both surgical and in-office responsibilities with great continuity of care. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in a surgical practice and assisting with procedures, is upbeat, personable, and genuinely enjoys helping people. Prior plastic surgery experience strongly preferred. Excellent patient service and interpersonal skills required. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Providing outstanding patient service and compassionate care to patients undergoing plastic surgery procedures
- Assisting the Surgeon with surgical procedures 2-3 days per week
- Answering phones professionally and communicating effectively with patients
- Gathering patient histories, including medications, allergies, and relevant medical/social history
- Preparing patients for examination, including vital signs, gowns, photography, and initiating progress notes
- Assisting the Surgeon with examinations, measurements, and photography
- Providing pre-operative instructions and patient education
- Tracking pre-operative testing and medical clearances
- Ordering implants, post-surgical garments, and clinical supplies
- Taking phone messages and responding as directed by the Surgeon
- Cleaning and stocking exam rooms, sterilizing instruments, and maintaining clinical supplies If you are friendly, polished, well-spoken, and committed to providing an exceptional patient experience, we would love to hear from you!
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- CSA, CSFA, SA-C, or RNFA required
- Training or experience in plastic surgery or general surgery preferred
- BLS certification required

- Strong computer and EMR proficiency
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a busy clinical/surgical environment
- Professional demeanor with outstanding interpersonal skills
