Days, 6:30a-5p, 4x10hr, holidays and call required, option for block scheduling

72 bi-weekly Required certifications: BLS, First Assist certification along with one of the following CST certifications or RN license, if they do not have CST cert then the candidate must provide evidence that they were employed to practice surgical technology in a healthcare facility before July 1, 2009 or must have the Certified Surgical Assistant cert

average of 85 surgeries a month
Max RTO:
1 week Scope of role: acting as the primary surgical assistant during a cardiovascular surgery, actively helping the surgeon with tasks like tissue handling, exposure, hemostasis, and closure of the incision, while maintaining a sterile field and anticipating the surgeon s needs throughout the operation, assisting in room turn over to assist in the flow of surgical cases, must be able to cannulate when going on bypass and coming off bypass, and may need to pass cannulation suture Years of experience: 2 years required
Floating:
could float to Main OR Required skills: must be able to suture as directed by the surgeons, strong cardiac skills. will not accept candidates who were surgeons/physicians in another country.
