Job Description

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical Associates is a growing oral surgery practice serving the Greater New Orleans area, with offices in Metairie and Marrero, Louisiana, and Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.
Our mission is simple:
treat every patient like they are a VIP from their first phone call through their final follow-up visit. To provide exceptional care, we believe in building an exceptional team. We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and team-oriented Surgical Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is committed to delivering outstanding patient care. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, maintains a positive attitude, remains calm under pressure, and genuinely enjoys helping patients feel comfortable and cared for throughout their surgical experience.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment Setting up surgical operatories with all necessary supplies and materials Obtaining and documenting patient medical histories Taking CBCT scans and Panoramic xrays Assisting surgeons during office-based surgical procedures Monitoring patients during surgery, including cardiac monitoring Maintaining accurate clinical documentation Supporting a positive, patient-focused team environment
Schedule Monday-Thursday:
8:00 AM - 5:00
PM Friday:
8:00 AM - 2:30 PM This is a full-time position. Team members are primarily based in our Metairie and Marrero offices, with occasional coverage at our Bay St. Louis location as needed.
