Job Description

Overview Experienced Surgical Mohs Medical Assistant Position Summary Join our Mohs surgery team and play a key role in supporting patients through their skin cancer treatment. As a Surgical Mohs Medical Assistant, you'll work closely with our surgeons to prepare patients, assist during procedures, manage specimens, and help keep the surgical day running smoothly. If you enjoy hands‑on clinical work, fast‑paced environments, and making a meaningful impact on patient care, this role is a great fit. What You'll Do Prepare patients for their Mohs surgery visit and guide them through what to expect. Assist the surgeon during procedures, including room setup, instrumentation, and post‑procedure care. Support patients with clear, compassionate communication throughout their visit. Document procedures and clinical details in the EHR (EMA/ModMed experience preferred). Handle, label, and process surgical specimens for pathology. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe surgical environment while following infection‑control and safety standards. What We're Looking For Experience as a Medical Assistant in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or similar settings . Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and medication workflows . Comfort working in a fast‑paced surgical environment. Experience with EMA/ModMed or similar EHR systems. BLS certification required ; trauma or emergency experience is a plus. Excellent communication skills and a patient‑first mindset. Pay:
$27.00 - $30.00 per hour
