Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity awaits for an experienced healthcare professional skilled in Nursing - Operating Room Technology (ORT) and Certified Surgical Technologist expertise. This contract role is ideal for someone with a background in providing exceptional support in surgical settings, collaborating with surgeons and surgical teams to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active certification as a Surgical Technologist Proficiency and hands-on experience in Operating Room Technology (ORT) nursing procedures Proven ability to maintain sterile fields and assist during surgery Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and surgical instrumentation Excellent communication and organizational skills Detail-oriented with the ability to quickly adapt in a fast-paced environment Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all instruments and sterile fields are set up according to established protocols Assist surgeons and nurses throughout surgical procedures by anticipating needs, providing instruments, and maintaining a sterile environment Verify and track surgical instruments and supplies before, during, and after procedures Ensure patient safety and uphold best practices for infection control Collaborate with surgical team members to optimize patient outcomes and facilitate smooth workflow Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and transfer as needed Complete detailed documentation related to surgical events and instrument counts
