North Mississippi Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates in Tupelo is seeking a skilled PRN Surgical Assistant to join our team on an as needed basis. If you thrive in a dynamic, patient-focused setting, this is an excellent opportunity to work with a dedicated team. Duties and Responsibilities Assist the Oral Surgeon during a variety of oral and maxillofacial procedures to ensure efficiency. Prepare treatment rooms according to established protocols and safety standards. Maintain strict infection control standards by sterilizing instruments and preparing equipment. Capture high quality, diagnostic dental x-rays and scans as needed. Provide patients with clear post-operative instructions and oral care guidance. Accurately document patient information and chart notes. Perform administrative office tasks using a computer and dental software. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Requirements:
1+ years of Oral Surgery/Dental Assisting experience preferred. 1+ years of customer service experience preferred. We value a friendly, patient first attitude! Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with computer-based tasks. Professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude. High school diploma or equivalent.
