Job Description

Surgical Dental Assistant Full Arch Implants & Periodontics Specialty Practice We are a fast-paced, high demand, surgical specialty office focused on full arch dental implants and periodontics. Our mission is to deliver the highest level of specialty dentistry while providing an exceptional patient experience. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Surgical Dental Assistant to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
Have an active role in surgery as well as assist the surgeon chairside during full arch implant surgeries, periodontal procedures, and other surgical treatments. Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, supplies, and operatory setup. Ensure strict compliance with infection control, sterilization, and
OSHA/HIPAA
standards. Take and process digital radiographs, CBCT and 3D facial scans, and intraoral scans pre-operatively, intra-operatively, and post-operatively, including support with photogrammetry scanning for full arch cases. Anticipate doctor's needs during procedures for efficient workflow. Provide clear pre-op and post-op instructions to patients, ensuring comfort and confidence. Support inventory management, surgical tray prep, and lab case coordination. Maintain accurate treatment records in practice software (Open Dental experience a plus). Contribute to our culture of mutual respect, teamwork, and collaboration , supporting both clinical and administrative staff.
What We're Looking For:
Dental assisting experience required (surgical or specialty experience strongly preferred). Current dental radiology and infection control certifications (state-specific). Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask. Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused demeanor. Team-oriented with a positive attitude Eager to learn advanced surgical skills, and committed to fostering collaboration with doctors and team members.
