Job Description

About Us We are a busy, patient-focused Mohs surgery and dermatologic surgery practice seeking a reliable, professional, and motivated individual to join our team as a Front Desk Medical Receptionist with Surgical Assistant responsibilities as needed . This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in healthcare who enjoys both administrative and clinical responsibilities in a fast-paced medical environment. ResponsibilitiesFront Desk / Medical Reception Duties Greet and check in patients in a courteous and professional manner Answer multi-line phones and direct calls appropriately Schedule appointments, surgeries, consultations, and follow-up visits Verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations when necessary Collect copays, balances, and patient paperwork Scan, upload, and maintain patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system Manage incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and correspondence Assist with patient check-out and scheduling future appointments Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area Surgical Assistant Duties (As Needed) Prepare treatment and procedure rooms Assist physicians during Mohs surgery and dermatologic procedures Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment Assist with patient preparation and post-operative instructions Stock and organize medical supplies Maintain compliance with infection control and OSHA standards Support clinical staff during busy surgical days Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous medical office or customer service experience preferred Surgical or medical assistant experience is a plus, but willing to train the right candidate Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Professional appearance and demeanor Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Basic computer skills required Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Sick Time Paid Holidays On-the-job training Supportive team environment Opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a surgical specialty practice Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is flexible, eager to learn, and willing to assist wherever needed.
