401(k) 401(k) matching Company parties Competitive salary Free uniforms Health insurance Paid time off Surgical Scrub Tech / Medical Assistant | Facial Plastic Surgery (NYC) We are a boutique practice devoted entirely to the face, is seeking an experienced Surgical Scrub Technician / Medical Assistant to support rhinoplasty and facial rejuvenation cases in our AAAASF-accredited in-office operating room.
This is a dual role:
scrubbing in on surgical days and assisting with clinical and medical assisting duties on non-surgical days. This position requires hands-on operating room experience. Candidates without prior scrub tech experience will not be considered. Responsibilities Surgical days (scrub tech): Scrub in and assist the surgeon on facial and nasal cases (rhinoplasty, facelift, and related procedures) Set up, maintain, and break down the sterile field and back table Anticipate the surgeon's needs and pass instruments efficiently throughout the case Maintain strict aseptic technique and patient safety standards at all times Sterile processing / instrument care: Clean, decontaminate, inspect, package, and sterilize instruments in accordance with SPD protocols Operate and monitor the autoclave, including correct cycle selection, loading, and documentation Run and log biological and chemical indicators; maintain sterilization records for AAAASF compliance Organize, track, and maintain instrument trays and sets Non-surgical days (medical assisting): Room patients, take and record vitals and history Prepare treatment and consultation rooms and assist during in-office procedures Manage stocking, supply inventory, and ordering Support general clinical workflow and front-of-house clinical needs as required Requirements Documented experience as a surgical scrub technician (facial / plastic surgery experience strongly preferred) Working knowledge of SPD standards, sterile processing, and autoclave operation Familiarity with instrument washing, organization, and tray management Strong understanding of aseptic technique and OR safety Medical assisting experience and comfort with clinical duties Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a high-standard, low-volume boutique setting
