Lorenc Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Center is looking for a driven, goal-oriented, type-A player with an active Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist Certification to join our private upscale cosmetic plastic surgery office. The job consists of assisting the doctor (plastic surgeon) and primary medical assistant during office hours, as well as assisting with minor office-based surgical procedures & working with the Study Manager and assisting with regulatory clinical studies. The ideal candidate has superb clinical and organizational skills and a professional, polished, and friendly demeanor. This individual must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team with the willingness to work past 5 PM when the occasion arises or before 9 for surgical procedures. Candidates without the following experience will not be considered: All candidates must have experience in Plastic/Cosmetic Surgery for at least 1 year. Applicants must have experience with both front desk and back-office duties as well as experience in charting, handling and shipping specimens and management of surgical scheduling and procedure clearances. Applicants must have experience in drawing blood samples.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Assist doctor with patient examinations and office procedures (suture removal, set-up for minor surgeries, etc.) Clean examination rooms, set up a do all prep work for appointments Ensure examination rooms are fully stocked by keeping regular inventory Sterilize equipment Record patient and testing information Manage patient flow Dressing changes Logging specimens Laser/Micro-needling procedures Draw blood Answer phone calls Schedule appointments and coordinate surgical procedures and clear surgical patients for the day of surgery Participation in clinical trials by assisting study manager with specimens and clinical reporting

Job Type:

Full-time hourly - 40 hours per week with occasional adjustments to schedule depending on surgical procedures.

Pay:

$20.00 - $26.00 per hour
