Job Description

Overview A Surgical Support Aide provides essential support to the surgical team by preparing operating rooms, transporting patients and equipment, maintaining cleanliness and sterility standards, and ensuring supplies are available for surgical procedures. The role helps facilitate safe, efficient, and effective surgical operations.
Details:
Prepare operating rooms before, during, and after surgical procedures. Clean and disinfect surgical suites, equipment, and related areas according to infection control standards. Transport patients to and from the operating room and recovery areas. Move, organize, and restock surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment. Assist with positioning patients under the direction of clinical staff. Ensure operating rooms are properly stocked with required materials and supplies. Handle and dispose of medical waste and contaminated materials according to safety regulations. Support surgical staff by responding to requests for equipment and supplies during procedures. Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to supervisors. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety procedures, and infection prevention guidelines.
Requirements:
1 full year of customer service experience required
MUST HAVE BLS
cert & a HS diploma/GED Job requires lifting heavy items, transporting patients, cleaning/turning over rooms for orientation/the first three weeks of contract•traveler's will be asked to work 1st shift 9-530pm to get familiar with the unit.
Shift:
Mid 5x8-Hour (14:00•22:30)/ Day 5x8-Hour (06:00•14:30) HC1
Pay:
$13.00•$15.00 per hour
Experience:
customer service : 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
BLS Certification (Required) high school diploma/GED (Required)
