Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in surgical patient care while working alongside an experienced perioperative team. This position involves being an integral part of the operating room environment, supporting procedures and ensuring patient safety across dynamic outpatient surgery centers.
Schedule:
Shift:
7:00 am - 3:30 pm Flexibility required to float between affiliated outpatient surgery centers
Qualifications:
Active certification as a Surgical Technologist or relevant nursing credentials (ORT) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Knowledge of operating room procedures, protocols, and aseptic technique Previous experience in outpatient or hospital surgical settings highly valued Proven ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced multidisciplinary team Flexibility and adaptability in floating to various surgical centers as needed
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms and ensure surgical instruments and equipment are sterile and organized Assist in surgical procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and other items to surgeons and assistants Support pre-operative and post-operative patient care as directed by the medical team Maintain strict adherence to infection control and patient safety standards Document care and ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date Support efficient case turnover and contribute to a positive, safe environment for both patients and staff This contract opportunity offers valuable experience in a collaborative setting working with outstanding healthcare professionals.
