Medical Assistant-Surgical Dermatology

FULL-time Medical Assistant Location:

Skin Surgery Center of Oklahoma (Across from Top Golf & South of Costco at Western & Kilpatrick Turnpike) We are searching for an energetic and dependable medical assistant to work in our busy surgical dermatology office. Will consider applicants with dental assistant experience as well. A great attitude and ability to work well within a team system required. Willing to train the right candidate. Duties include but are not limited to: Assist providers with all patient visits and procedures Room set up for procedures Educate, review and explain pre-operative care instructions and the surgical process to patients. Educate patients regarding wound care and medications Help to ensure patients are scheduled for appropriate follow up appointments and referrals Clinical phone triage Relaying results to patients Document appropriately in EMR Keep procedure rooms cleaned and stocked with treatment supplies, Assist in sterilization and preparation of instruments Assist with maintenance of sterilization equipment and supplies
