Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. The Surgical Technology Skills Laboratory Assistant supports the Surgical Technology Program by assisting with the preparation, organization, maintenance, and operation of the surgical technology and central sterile processing skills laboratories. This position helps ensure students have access to a safe, organized, and well-equipped learning environment that supports the development of essential technical skills required for entry into surgical services and sterile processing careers. The position requires regular in-person presence to support laboratory activities, equipment management, and student learning experiences. Special Assignments May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor. KSA's/Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED . Minimum of one year of recent experience in sterile processing, central service, or surgical services support. Demonstrated knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, infection prevention, and safety procedures. Ability to lift, transport, and organize laboratory supplies and equipment. Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, and clinical partners. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic inventory tracking systems. Current CST , CRCST or current enrollment as a student in a surgical technology program.
