1 Description American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist/ORT for a CVOR position at a Level II Trauma acute care hospital, requiring at least 1 year of experience. Details Acute care hospital setting in the CVOR department Level II Trauma facility with Magnet designation Performs cardiovascular and vascular procedures including CABG, TAVR, EVAR/TEVAR, carotid endarterectomy, and various bypass and repair surgeries Utilizes Epic charting system 4x10 day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM On-call responsibilities required, including weekend call coverage No floating within scope required for this facility Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience required BLS certification required NCCT or NBSTSA certification preferred License required if applicable Level II Trauma experience required Level I Trauma, teaching hospital, and community hospital experience preferred Proficiency in vascular and cardiovascular surgical procedures Strong understanding of aseptic technique, sterilization, and universal protocol/time out procedures Additional Information Support surgical teams during complex cardiovascular and vascular procedures Maintain sterile fields and ensure proper instrument and equipment handling Follow infection control, radiation safety, and PPE protocols Assist with specimen handling, labeling, and wound care as needed Scrubs are provided by the facility First-time travelers will be considered Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period Only one time-off request permitted per 13-week assignment, approved individually upon offer Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Parking is free at this facility
