Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting surgical teams in a dynamic setting. Skilled professionals are needed to contribute expertise in the operating room, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of patient care. This opportunity is ideal for candidates experienced in perioperative environments, looking to apply their knowledge on a contract basis.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Previous experience as an Operating Room Technician (ORT) or Surgical Technologist (certified or non-certified) Familiarity with sterile technique and infection control standards Working knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures Ability to anticipate surgeon and team needs within the sterile field Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and collaborative abilities Certification as a Surgical Technologist is welcome, but non-certified techs with experience are encouraged to apply
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating suites and instrumentation prior to procedures Assist with patient positioning and prepping within established protocols Ensure all equipment and supplies are available and functioning for the surgical team Maintain strict adherence to aseptic and sterile technique Pass instruments, supplies, and assist surgical staff throughout procedures Help with post-operative clean-up and proper disposal of sharps, linens, and medical waste Support inventory management and restocking as needed
